The season 34 finale of “Dancing with the Stars” aired on Tuesday, Nov. 24.
“Dancing with the Stars” is a show that has been aired weekly since Tuesday, Sept. 16, where celebrities are paired up with dancing professionals to dance together.
The celebrities have slim to no dance experience and they work with the professional dancer to perform weekly dances.
For the finale there are five celebrities that make it.
The five celebrities in the season 34 finale were Robert Irwin, Dylan Efron, Alix Earle, Jordan Chiles and Elaine Hendrix.
Irwin is an Australian conservationist, television personality, wildlife photographer and actor.
Efron is an American producer, social media influencer and athlete.
Earle is a social media influencer.
Chiles is an Olympic gymnast.
Hendrix is an actor who has been in “The Parent Trap” and many other series and movies.
During the finale each celebrity and their pro performed three dances.
The first round was the judges’ choice.
According to THE TEEN MAG. The judges for season 34 were Bruno Tonioli, Derek Hough and Carrie Ann Inaba.
Tonioli has been a judge on “DWTS” since 2005, Hough since 2020 and Inaba since 2005.
The week leading up to the finale a judge told each group what style of dance they want them to dance to.
For each dance each of the three judges scored the dance on a 10 point scale.
For the whole night people can vote through texting their chosen celebrity to “21523” and vote online.
The scores for the judges choice were Earle: 30, Efron: 28, Hendrix: 30, Irwin: 29 and Chiles: 29.
The next dance style they all danced to was the instant round.
This is where each celebrity pulled a dance style out of a box and then pulled a random song, then the celebrity and pro only had 5 minutes to prepare the dance.
The scores for this round were Earle: 30, Efron: 30, Hendrix: 27, Irwin: 30 and Chiles: 30.
The final round was freestyle.
This gives the celebrity and pro complete creative freedom with their dance.
For this round every single celebrity received a perfect score, 30 for their freestyle.
According to DEADLINE, Chiles danced to “Motivation” by Normani, Earle danced to a mashup of “Maneater” by Nelly Furtado and “Sports Car” by Tate McRae, Efron danced to “Something in the Heavens” by Lewis Capaldi, Hendrix danced to “Opening: I Hope I Get It” from A Chorus Line, lastly Irwin danced to a mashup of “Black and Gold” by Sam Sparro and “The Nights” by Avicii.
At the end of the three hour episode they announced season 34 winner, getting to take home the mirrorball trophy.
The winner is Robert Irwin and his partner Witney Carson.
Carson has been a pro on the show for 15 seasons and this is her second mirror ball to win.
The runners ups were Earle and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy.
Chmerkovskiy has been a pro for 20 seasons and has won three mirror balls.
Some of the pros are set to leave for a dancing tour starting on Jan. 22, 2026 and ending on May 12, 2026.
Season 35 of Dancing with the Stars will air mid September 2026.
