A new restaurant is bringing southern flavor and community spirit to Conway. Roost and Tap Kitchen has officially opened its doors at Hendrix Village, offering what the owner describes as an elevated comfort food experience.
Owner and experienced chef Charles Frost says the decision to open in Conway was an easy one. He points to the city’s sense of community and opportunity for collaboration as key reasons behind the launch.
Frost also noted that the restaurant fills a unique gap in the local dining scene, offering dishes that aren’t widely available elsewhere in town.
The staff shares that same community-focused vision. Server Savannah Butler says the goal is to create an atmosphere that feels both “homey” and special.
She emphasized the importance of locally rooted restaurants that serve and connect with the community.
Customers are already responding positively. Many say the food reminds them of home-cooked meals, with one diner praising the fried chicken as “cooked to order” and “perfect.” Others highlighted the variety of menu options and quality of the drinks.
Frost says the restaurant is built on two main pillars: flavor and community. He plans to stay actively involved in Conway while delivering bold, memorable dishes.
Roost and Tap Kitchen aims to be more than just a place to eat, it’s designed to feel like home.
