The University of Central Arkansas women’s golf team hit Dothan Country Club in Alabama at the three-day ASUN Championship where the Bears finished fourth overall.
After day one and shooting +12 in Round 1 making ten birdies and 53 pars, the Bears tied for seventh place.
Junior Maggie Huett had +1, junior Dudrun Thorsteinsdottir had +3, freshman Alethea Paige Gaccion and sophomore Emma Leroy Fabry shot +4, while senior Valeria Ramirez shot +5 resulting in UCA having +12 in total.
After Round 1 Florida Gulf Coast University took first place and UCA tied for seventh with Austin Peay.
Ramirez kicked off Round 2 at 8:05 a.m. for the UCA Bears on hole ten.
The Bears shifted up four spots to place 3rd by the second day.
The Bears shot made 20 birdies, 51 pars and Ramirez shot one eagle finishing with -7 and the second best score of the day, third best score of the Championship up until that point.
Huett shot -5, Gaccion and Ramirez shot -2, Thorsteinsdottir shot +2 and Fabry shot +5.
When the Round 2 came to a close UCA finished with +5.
Substitution, senior Aubrey Max, took the tee first at 8:50 a.m. at hole one and Thorsteinsdottir, Ramirez, Gaccion and Huett followed after.
The Bears finished in fourth place after Round 3, day three where they shot ten birdies, 49 pars and +14.
Marx shot +12, Fabry with +5, Ramirez with +6, Thorsteinsodttir with +2 and Huett with +6.
North Florida claimed the ASUN women’s golf championship, crowned with first place.
