Another coffee shop has been added to the Conway area, and it is quickly making a name for itself with fast service and friendly smiles.
Seven Brew was established in 2019 with a few locations in Northwest Arkansas and Missouri.
Michael Paxton, the stand manager of the Conway location, has been working for Seven Brew since 2020 and since then has helped open three locations. He was given the opportunity to move to Conway and manage the location being placed there, which he said, “is something I could not pass up.”
Paxton said that many of his customers from Northwest Arkansas went to school in Conway.
“Customers would tell us all the time that we needed one down here so they could get their blondies year-round instead of just when they are home for the summer,” Paxton said.
Thus, the move down to Central Arkansas was made and it is quickly becoming a frequent stop for many of the people living in Conway, myself included.
Paxton said it was a big team effort and that the planning for the Conway location goes back quite a while. The number of people that had their hand in the operation was immeasurable and overall, a huge success in his eyes. When it came to the hiring process, he said many of the regional managers played a big role.
“Our marketing team did a great job of getting the word out and lots of people, including my regional managers and a few others, did most of the hiring. I came down to Conway a few weeks before we opened and helped with the last round of interviews,” Paxton said.
Speaking with some of the baristas from my multiple visits, Seven Brew hired people from all over and some even moved to Conway from out of state just to work there. There are a few baristas working there that attend UCA, but many moved to Conway to be a part of the team and experience that work environment.
The coffee shop has one motto or mission statement that they incorporate into everything they do at Seven Brew and it’s even printed on their cups, “cultivate kindness.”
Paxton said, “The coffee is amazing, but people come back time and time again because of the experience. High energy, quick service and personable people definitely set us apart from any other business.”
Where other coffee shops or fast-food chains may take your order and move on to the next customer, Seven Brew’s workers spend time with each car asking them questions and getting to know them, even if it’s only brief. It goes beyond a “how’s your day going,” they actually seem to care about their customers on a personal level and show kindness every single time.
When you drive through the Seven Brew line, you can hear music blaring from the speakers and most of the workers are dancing and singing along in between taking orders. Everyone has a smile on their face and seems genuinely happy to be there. It’s a noticeable difference from other establishments and that difference brings a line of cars every morning and every afternoon.
Seven Brew’s hours are 5:30 a.m.- 10 p.m. and they stay open till 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
If you haven’t already, stop by and grab an iced blondie or a german chocolate, I promise, you won’t regret it.
