Five University of Central Arkansas alumni have been added to the UCA Foundation Board of Directors in Jan. 2026.
The UCA Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that exists to benefit UCA.
According to UCA Foundation, Inc., “Foundation funds come from the UCA phonathon, direct mail and personal contact donors.”
The Foundation’s privately-funded scholarship program offers current and future students scholarships. The Foundation also awards faculty grants to programs that “enhance learning opportunities at UCA” according to UCA Foundation, Inc.
According to UCA News, the five new members are Tim McKenna, Pat Moon, Clay Parker, Kevin Parkerson and Kyle Reynolds.
McKenna is a 1992 and 1997 UCA graduate from Conway and is the controller for Nabholz Construction Corporation.
Moon is a 1984 UCA graduate from Conway and is the owner, president and managing principal of Meridian Investment Advisors.
Parker is a 2007 and 2008 UCA graduate from North Little Rock and serves as the senior vice president of commodities at Westrock Coffee Company.
While at UCA, Parker got his undergraduate business degree and Masters in Business.
Today, he is responsible for the sourcing and risk management of coffee from over 35 different countries.
Parkerson is from Elm Springs, Ark. and graduated from UCA in 1991.
He founded and is now the president of KP Global Logistics Consulting LLC.
Reynolds is a 2008 graduate of UCA from Rogers, Ark. and is a managing member of RBG Permian and a co-founder of Benjamin Lee Bison.
Parker said that being added to the UCA Foundation Board of Directors was “a way for me to give back to an institution that played a crucial role in preparing me for life and a career path.”
Parker is ready to put students’ needs at the forefront of the Foundation’s focus.
Parker said, “I was to take the perspective of what is best for the current and future student population and use my network and skillset to achieve those goals.”
“We are grateful to these alumni for their willingness to serve and to help guide the Foundation’s work,” vice president for Advancement and president of the UCA Foundation Dr. Mary Bane Lackie said. “Their leadership and expertise strengthen our ability to support UCA students and programs through private giving and to fulfill our mission: to fund the margin of excellence at UCA,” according to UCA news.
Parker said that the Foundation Board of Directors is an important thing to have.
Parker said, “[The Board] establishes accountability for a responsible use of funds to ensure the best possible outcomes for the students and community. The board is a big responsibility, one that I think everyone who is currently serving, takes very seriously.”
UCA current and future students can apply to Foundation scholarships through the UCA website.
The deadline for all applications has closed, it was Jan. 26 but had been extended to Feb. 4.
