On Aug. 20, Joe Hooker, associate director for maintenance and custodial, reported to UCAPD that his golf cart had been stolen.
The golf cart, a Club Car labeled #115, was university property.
Hooker told UCAPD he had parked the golf cart near the Housing Maintenance building at about 8 p.m. The golf cart was gone when he returned at 11:30 p.m.
Student Chance Osburn, 21, was identified as a witness and detained. He confessed to stealing the golf cart when brought to the Conway Police Department for questioning..

When the CPD and UCAPD looked where Osburn said the cart would be, they couldn’t find it. Residents of the area informed them that the cart had already been returned to UCA.
