If you’ve got a broken down computer or your laptop is on the fritz, never fear. Help has arrived in the form of Tech Experts. This technology business is a new venture started up by UCA student Jerry Gooch, along with graduate Ben Smith.
“We want to shake up the tech support industry in Conway,” Gooch said. “We think that many people pay way too much money to have their computers fixed.”
“Gooch came to me with this idea for a local tech support company that is affordable and easily accessible when and where you need it. Our computers and tech products have become essential to our daily lives, our business is centered around making sure that these devices don’t interrupt you,” Smith said.
Tech Experts aims to provide 24/7 support for all computer needs, including troubleshooting applications.
“[…] we want to be able to respond to your call at 11 p.m. and look at your computer from our homes or wherever we may be,” Gooch said. “The service is very secure and the user will have to give us a pass-code to actually connect to their computer.”
One of the main goals of Tech Experts is to save people time and money while getting their computers back in working order. The remote troubleshooting is just one of the ways Gooch and Smith hope to accomplish this.
“One of the big things is consultations. We can schedule a time with our clients, hear their needs and wants, and find the perfect solution to make the most out of their technology,” Gooch said.
The two hope to expand Tech Experts to the business market with the managed services model – providing IT support to small businesses who cannot afford their own IT staff.
“We hope to throw events partnered with other organizations,” Gooch said, “One such event will probably be a tune-up event optimizing students’ PCs and making sure they are working like they should.”
