Hiking / Nature Walks
Though hiking and being out in nature can be more strenuous in the summer heat and more painful in the biting winter cold, the spring temperatures and breezes make for a very peaceful stroll through the green forests or parks. You don’t have to worry about sweating through your clothes but you also won’t have to worry about bundling up too much, so finding the right clothes and equipment won’t get in the way either. Many hikers prefer to go in the spring months so the trails will be less crowded, and the trails become much easier to navigate this way.

Picnicking
Whether you’re on your own or with your loved ones, or whether you make your own dishes or buy them from the store, being able to get some sunlight and fresh air while enjoying your favorite snacks is a sure way to feel rejuvenated. It’s also an easy activity to put together that everyone is familiar with, as you can go as far away or as close as you want. With friends, picnics make a fun collaboration. Springtime doesn’t bring as many of the pesky bugs you might have to work around in the summer, like mosquitoes, so it’s more comfortable to get outside and enjoy your treats.

Spring Cleaning
Cleaning definitely isn’t everyone’s favorite chore, but tidying up and resetting your space as a new season begins is very helpful for easing into a new period of your life, mentally and physically. Putting on some music, letting the sunlight come through and listening to the birds chirp outside makes the time fly by and will help you prepare for the rest of the season. Spring cleaning also helps with having a healthier living environment, as it calls for getting into all the nooks and crannies you may not be getting into when you do your regular cleaning up around the house.

Gardening
As you grow and change throughout the new season, being able to watch something grow and bloom with you can be very rewarding. Gardening can add to your space indoors and outdoors and can be very rewarding and relaxing. It is something that can be done in the comfort of your own home and also serves as a beautiful and colorful reminder of your accomplishments. Not only will you get to see your results, but gardening can give you more of a mood and energy boost. Springtime brings ideal planting conditions, as the soil is more moist, temperatures are not extreme, and days are longer.

Camping
Camping is another activity that can take place in the comfort of your own backyard and is a fun way to connect with the outdoors and nature around you. In the springtime, it is a lot more tolerable. In the summer it’s too hot to want to spend all of your time outside, even during the night, but in the springtime, it’s primarily cool outside and just cold enough outside at night where it’s not too uncomfortable to sleep. Camping is a great way to explore and connect with your loved ones as well. There’s typically less of a camping crowd in the spring, and some campsites even offer lower rates.
