The fans don’t lie; the new season of “Severance” is so compelling it severs viewers from reality.

Adding to the intensity and realism of the storyline, the series further explores the characters’ backstories and moral dilemmas, balancing family, loyalty and identity themes. “Invincible” is a must-watch for anyone who appreciates a well-crafted narrative and compelling character arcs, making it one of the most unique animated superhero series in 2025.  

3. “Yellowjackets”

The wilderness has chosen this series to be number three on my list. “Yellowjackets” has blown up because of its disturbing and creative storyline. This series does not give all the details; instead, it jumps between timelines. This allows viewers to theorize and debate whether psychological or paranormal factors led to the soccer team evolving into a cannibalistic cult. In addition to its gripping plot, “Yellowjackets” delves into themes of trauma, survival, and the human psyche making it one of the most unsettling and captivating series. The newest season has only heightened the hair-raising suspense, securing its spot on my list. 

4. “Solo Leveling”

“Solo Leveling” captivates anime lovers with Sung Jinwoo’s transformation from the weakest hunter to an unstoppable force. The dynamic action sequences, intricate plot, and high-quality animation bring battles and characters to life. The newest season delves deeper into why the “system” chose Jinwoo as a player, adding complexity and raising questions about his true identity.
