The Lorax
It might not be the first one, but it’s definitely the most iconic. ASHBY’s cosplay of Dr. Seuss’s The Lorax took TikTok by storm with her “bashful” take on the character. The children’s character shifts into a mother-loving goofball who hates gingers. She grew the character to feel like a political figure in the world of Thneedville, standing on a storage crate with her microphone. ASHBY knows this cosplay made her career, and it shows by how many times she brings him back to her TikTok lives.

Megamind
If The Lorax is her most iconic character, Megamind is her most creative by far. The use of a cut basketball to make the character’s head and the effort to make the iconic black mamba suit from the movie is a jump in design from the orange jumpsuit, fake eyebrows and mustache from The Lorax. Her Megamind is also a skilled dancer and singer. From singing Sabrina Carpenter to dancing the Can Can, ASHBY’s Megamind deserves second place on this list.

Alexander Hamilton
The cosplay that started it all. Jumping on the trend of the women of TikTok portraying Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Alexander Hamilton to the song “Best of Wives Best of Women,” ASHBY adds her own into the mix. Het Hamilton is played as if he is sick of his wife, Eliza, in the original video. This skyrocketed her TikTok career into what we know today. This eventually allowed her, along with other pioneers of the trend, to attend the premiere of the musical’s theatrical release.

Gru
ASBHY’s Gru, from Despicable Me, introduces a new character in her boyfriend, Ben, as Bob the Minion. He really plays off of ASHBY’s Gru acting as a butler for her. This allowed for funny interactions between the two. ASHBY yelling at Ben when he would overstay his welcome. Watching Bob trying to free Gru from the laundry basket is such a highlight of the live. Her Gru takes a lot from the scene in the original movie when he announces his evil plans. Taking to her plastic storage box and microphone once again.

King Julien
After the success of introducing Ben into her TikTok lives, ASHBY included him as Mort when she cosplayed as King Julien from the Madagascar franchise. ASHBY put more of an emphasis on Ben’s participation during the live. Her vision of King Julien being dance obsessed just like Sacha Baron Cohan’s character from the original source. This is stacked on top of Ben who steals the show as Mort. The dance the two share in the live is also powerful to experience.
