It all began in 1986 when Jerry and Janie Murrell opened the first Five Guys restaurant in Arlington, Virginia. 

Over the years, Five Guys has experienced an increasing amount of growth, expanding from its Virginia roots to over 1,500 locations across the United States and beyond. 

Yet, with its existing all over a large area success, the company remains true to its roots, still family-owned and operated, with a promise to serve the same high-quality fare that first interested customers over thirty years ago.

Little did they know, their small venture would burgeon into a nationwide phenomenon, captivating the taste buds of millions across the United States. 

This iconic franchise has redefined the concept of fast-casual dining and etched its name into the annals of burger history with its mouth-watering creations and unwavering commitment to quality. 

Its unwavering dedication to freshness and flavor sets Five Guys apart from its competitors.

Upon entering Five Guys, the nice smell of sizzling beef and freshly-cut fries greeted me warmly. 

The mood was casual yet inviting, with friendly staff very busy behind the counter. 

The menu display offered various burger options that were customizable by their toppings. 

I chose the classic cheeseburger with fries, as well as their milkshake.  

As I sunk my teeth into the juicy patty, I was met with a great-tasting burger, the perfect blend of savory beef, melted cheese and crisp veggies. 

Clearly, quality ingredients were a very important part of this company. 

Along with my burger was a generous amount of hand-cut fries, cooked to golden perfection. Crispy on the outside, yet soft and fluffy on the inside, these fries were a very pleasant kindness.

One aspect that impressed me was the large amount of toppings available at no extra cost. From grilled onions to jalapenos, the options were endless.  

As I enjoyed my meal, I couldn’t help but become aware of the attention to detail in every aspect of the dining experience, from the state of being a clean restaurant to wasting very little while working to serve orders out so quickly. 

Overall, my first experience at Five Guys in Conway, Arkansas, was nothing short of excellent. I was greeted with warmth and hospitality from the moment I walked in, and the food exceeded all expectations.
