Since the beginning of the NFL season, the Kansas City Chiefs have not looked like the defending Super Bowl champions from 2023.

Having losses to teams like the Denver Broncos and the Las Vegas Raiders made me lose all hope of this team even making it to the American Football Conference championship game.

Once the playoffs came around in late January, the Chiefs would have to play all their playoff games on the road for the first time since Patrick Mahomes became the starting quarterback.

In previous years, the Kansas City Chiefs have always had the playoff game at their home stadium Arrowhead in Kansas City, Missouri.

I had many doubts about the Kansas City Chiefs being able to win four straight playoff games on the road.

They proved me and others wrong by going into the Buffalo Bills stadium and winning the game, leaving grown men crying on national television.

The biggest upset of the playoffs was the Kansas City Chiefs against the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC championship game.

The Kansas City Chiefs losing to the Baltimore Ravens would not have surprised me because I did not expect them to win in the first place.

The fact that they have been to six straight AFC championship games and four Super Bowls should’ve been enough for me to realize that they are never the underdogs in any game they play.

The Super Bowl took place in Las Vegas, Nevada, for the first time this year.

The San Francisco 49ers fans made the Super Bowl feel like a home game for their team since most of the stadium was booing when the Kansas City Chiefs stepped out on the field.

The first half of the game felt like the Chiefs were about to get blown off the field after being unable to score anything until the last few seconds when they got a field goal.

Going into the second half, I did not feel confident that the Chiefs could overcome a 10-point deficit. 

The momentum shifted after the Kansas City Chiefs scored a touchdown after the San Francisco 49ers fumbled the ball off a return kick.

When the game went into overtime, I was positive Patrick Mahomes would pull it off by having a game-winning touchdown.

Mahomes proved me right and led the team to victory by throwing the game-winning touchdown to Mecole Hardman.

The Kansas City Chiefs winning this Super Bowl made them the first team in over 20 years to win back-to-back championships since the New England Patriots.

We are all watching a new football dynasty with a quarterback who is becoming one of the greats, right next to Tom Brady.

Unfortunately for the other NFL teams, especially in the AFC conference, they will have to go through the Kansas City Chiefs if they want to make it to their ultimate goal, winning a Super Bowl.

Hopefully, next year, the Kansas City Chiefs will have all the Playoff games at Arrowhead Stadium and will be the first team in NFL history to win three straight championships.
