Grad Central
The UCA Bookstore is hosting Grad Central on Oct. 13 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Grad Central has graduation items on sale for December graduates. Free food and T-shirts will be available while supplies last.
Informational Meeting
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority will hold an informational meeting at 7 p.m. on Oct. 14 in Irby Hall room 301. Business casual attire will be required.
Class Rings
Students interested in receiving a commemorative UCA ring can order one from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 12 and 13 in the Student Center lobby.
The Happening
ArtsFest 2009 will present “The Happening,” an art festival, in downtown Conway this Friday at 6 p.m. and on Saturday at noon. Festival leaders are looking for performers to help work with students and encourage anyone who is interested in the fun to join.
Comedy Show
Tickets are now on sale for the Daniel Tosh comedy perfomance, which is on Nov. 4 at 8 p.m. in Reynolds Performance Hall. Students looking to attend the show can purchase tickets for $10 with their student ID.
Black History Play
Auditions for Marlin T. Tazwell’s “Ain’t Nothing but a Thang” play will be held tonight from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in Main Hall room14. Questions can be directed to [email protected] and [email protected]. Scripts will be provided.
Editor Presentation
Frank Fellone, deputy editor of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, will talk to students about the role of press in political society tomorrow during x-period in Irby Hall room 216. The event is hosted by Pi Sigma Alpha.
UCA Unplugged
The 15th Annual UCA Unplugged acoustic concert is this Friday from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Nashville-based country band Eden’s Edge, which includes former UCA student Hannah Blaylock on vocals, will perform. Following their performance will be several open mic sets by students, faculty and staff.
