Dress for Success
The 22nd annual Dress for Success Program is Tuesday, Feb. 9 during x-period in the Student Center Ballroom. The event, sponsored by FACS, SGA and Career Services, will give tips to students on how to dress for a professional environment.
Musical Performance
UCA alumnus and singer/songwriter Adam Hambrick performs in the Student Center food court on Feb. 11 between 1 and 2:30 p.m.
Show and Tell
The Lambda Upsilon Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta presents its Show and Tell Talent Show on Feb. 16 at 7 p.m. in Ida Waldran Auditorium. Sign-ups will be in the Student Center during x-period. Portions of the proceeds will go to the LaJetta Hicks-Hervey Scholarship fund.
Ain’t Nothing but a Thang
The NAACP and Keep-a-Child-Alive sponsor “Ain’t Nothing but a Thang” by Marlin Tazewell on Feb. 11 and 12 at 7:30 p.m. in Ida Waldran Auditorium. Admission is free. Donations will be accepted. Half of the profits will go to KCA and the other half will benefit Haiti relief funds.
Crystal Imaging
Clearly You Crystal Imaging will be on campus Feb. 9 at 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Students may have their picture made if they bring their student ID. One crystal per student.
Blood Drive
The American Red Cross is holding a blood drive today and tomorrow in the Student Center Courtyard from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Appointments can be made at redcross.org by entering the password: UCA. Donations can also be made without appointments. T-shirts will be given to all donors.
Nursing Program
Applications for admission into the fall 2010 nursing class are available at uca.edu/nursing. The deadline is March 1.
Dating Doctor
Relationship expert David Coleman will speak to students on Feb. 16 at 7 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom. Coleman, known nationwide as “the Dating Doctor,” has won several awards and is a nine-time National Speaker of the Year.
