Police arrest student for active warrants in two counties
Student Lauren A. Potts, 20, was arrested Sept. 1 at 1:30 p.m. for having active warrants for her arrest.
An officer saw Potts’ black Mitsubishi Eclipse traveling north on Farris Road at 43 miles per hour.
When the officer pulled Potts over and made contact with her, the officer discovered that Potts had active warrants for her arrest out of both Faulkner and White counties.
The officer then transported Potts to the Faulkner County Detention Center Unit 2 for booking and warrant service.
Potts called a friend to take possession of her vehicle.
Student arrested in McClastlain Hall
Student Lauren N. Manis, 19, was arrested Aug. 30 at 2:23 p.m. for an active warrant for her arrest.
An officer was dispatched to McClastlain Hall for a warrant assist.
The officer met with Manis in room 143 in McClastlain Hall and placed her under arrest for the Conway Police Department.
The officer then transported Manis to the UCA Police Department for holding until an officer from the Conway Police Department came to pick her up.
Missing property from Physical Plant inventory
UCA property was reported stolen from the Physical Plant on Aug. 30.
An officer met with Faith Hopkins in McClastlain Hall on Aug. 30 at 2:23 p.m. to make a missing state property report.
Hopkins said that an IBM Think Pad computer was missing from the Physical Plant Warehouse, with unknown dates and time of the theft.
Hopkins noticed it went missing around Aug. 4, but could not confirm until inventory was taken.
