At about 10:35 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1, an officer arrived at room 266 in Bear Hall in response to an alcohol violation.
An RA told the officer that he had circled around Bear Hall when he heard loud music.
He found the room with the loud music and knocked on the door, but no one responded.
He stated that he could hear bottles clanking together and the people within the room screaming “seven minutes in heaven!”
Another officer arrived and they both met with the RA, RC and students Hannah Wolf, 18, Brent Sims, 18, Anna Bowie, 18, Grant Tully, 18, and Austyn Soderling, 18.
The officers said they could see many beer cans laying in the trash and a few larger glass bottles in the room.
One officer checked the individuals for warrants while the other spoke with them.
He asked if any of them had been drinking, to which they all said “Yes.” Tully claimed the beer, Sims and Bowie claimed the vodka and Wolf claimed a bottle of Smirnoff.
None of the students seemed to be intoxicated and the officers advised them to return to their dorm rooms.
The officers alerted them that they would all receive judicial board citations instead of minor in possession of alcohol charges.
They explained the severity of a minor in possession charge and all the students said they understood. The alcohol was poured out on scene.
