Unlike any other gym experience, HOTWORX is a 24-hour infrared fitness studio that offers a variety of virtually-instructed sessions, including isometric and HIIT workouts.
The Conway location of HOTWORX is still under construction but will open by the end of spring at 2501 Dave Ward Dr. It will be the 11th location in Arkansas but the company is nationwide with hundreds of locations total.
The studio categorizes workouts by 15-minute, high-intensity, interval training sessions and 30-minute isometric sessions. Members can attend classes for hot yoga, hot pilates, hot cycle and more.
Each session takes place in their infrared saunas and there is no need to wait for a trainer since all classes are pre-recorded and virtual.
Working out in the saunas has many benefits including detoxification, muscle recovery, stress reduction, weight loss, skin rejuvenation, lowered blood pressure and more.
“The great thing about HOTWORX is we are not like the normal gym setting many people are used to. You don’t have to be intimidated by all sorts of equipment you don’t know how to use and you don’t have to feel uncomfortable with lots of people watching you. We offer small sessions with minimal equipment necessary, so anyone of any fitness level can enjoy and benefit from HOTWORX sessions,” general manager Kim Hudson said.
With nothing similar in the area, HOTWORX employees believe it will fulfill a need that hasn’t been met yet with other facilities in Conway.
“Conway is growing and expanding and we feel that we are able to scratch the itch for something new that many people in Conway are looking for in their fitness journey, wherever that may be. Whether it is someone working out for the first time or someone who works out twice a day, everyday, or anyone in between, we have something for everyone here,” Hudson said.
Those interested in signing up can stop by the studio Monday-Friday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. or sign up online at HOTWORX.net/studio/Conway. HOTWORX will also have a booth at Toad Suck Daze to offer more information and recruit members. Memberships will cost $59/month upon opening, but there are pre-opening specials happening for a limited time.
“I absolutely love our hot yoga. It is challenging in a new way, but, more importantly, it is fun. I know I used to dread going to the traditional gym and I would have to talk myself into going. HOTWORX takes that away and makes me enjoy going and it’s quick. I can get a full body workout in just 15 minutes if need to. At HOTWORX they always have sessions I can get into at any time of day and I love it,” Hudson said.
The studio is open 24 hours with certain periods of staffed hours. That makes taking classes more accessible.
“Of the many benefits, my favorite would have to be stress reduction. I’m a busy student and HOTWORX offers a great opportunity to eliminate stress,” trainer and sales associate Maddy Sims said.
