Around 10:45 p.m. on Oct. 18, a fatal shooting resulted in the death of a 17-year old, Conway police department said.
According to a Conway Police Department Instagram post, the shooting occurred at the Bear Haven Apartment Complex off of West Martin Street and Farris Road.
Out of respect to their family, the victim’s name was not given.
According to a Channel 7 report, the police station received several calls reporting gunshots, with one caller comparing the sound to fireworks.
According to the same report, when the victim was shot, they were transported towards Salem Road, a mile away from the scene in the opposite direction.
CPD began their investigation the night of the shooting and would eventually arrest four suspects Oct. 22.
The suspects, whose names were released in another Conway PD post, include 18-year old Dallas Ham, who is charged with a Class Y felony Capital Murder; 17-year old Hayden Sublette, charged as an adult with Class Y felonies Capital Murder and Aggravated Robbery; 16-year old Jakal Jackson, also charged as an adult with Class Y felonies Capital Murder and Aggravated Robbery and an unnamed 16-year old who is charged with a Class D felony of Tampering with Physical Evidence.
Mourning over the 17-year old victim was prevalent in the comment sections on Conway PD’s latest Instagram and Facebook posts.
