Students mixed ingredients to make their own spices Sept. 27 at an event hosted by the Student Activities Board.

The event was held in the Ronnie Williams Student Center. 

The SAB hosts events such as movies, games and hot air balloons on campus. 

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. students could come in and learn how to make spice while listening to music and interacting with other students. 

Tyler, a sophomore economics major, volunteers for SAB.

“We try to bring fun to campus,” he said. 

Tyler said, “My favorite part about being in SAB is the flexibility.”

“I get to volunteer, serve the campus, and be involved on campus and there are so many events that I can just pick and choose which ones fit my schedule,” he said. 

SAB is playing “Despicable Me 4” on Friday, Sept. 27. 

Freshman psychology major Gabby found out about the event on SAB’s instagram page, @uca_sab. 

“It seemed pretty interesting and fun. I had never heard of an event like this before, so I figured I would check it out and come to meet new people,” she said.
