In a few short weeks, UCA will play host to the “Leaders of the World” international program, from March 3-7, with educational leaders from five continents and ten countries to share education and networking ideas from their experiences.
These leaders are coming to our campus to share their experiences, as well as explore our university and community. UCA will learn how these countries network and about their societies and schools.
“These leaders have different management ideas that will increase the global reputation at UCA,” said Jon Stansel, International Communication Manager. “In turn it can help us recruit more international students.”
The featured speakers at the conference include UN Women Senior Advisor Ana Maria Salazar, and Cristina Alvarez Rodriguez, Minister of Government of the Province of Buenos Aires, grand-niece of Eva Perón, and honorary director of the Evita Museum.
Other confirmed attending leaders are Secretary General of the University of Buenos Aires; representatives from East China Normal University of People’s Republic of China; transport expert from the Democratic Republic of the Congo; President of the Water Company of Buenos Aires; Dean of the University of Encarnación Paraguay; Director of the Liberal Party of Colombia; Director of the Ethics Committee of Nicaragua; and Director of the Economic Development Chief of Junín. These speakers will address leadership and ethics of modern leaders, effective communication, team work and effective management and training.
According to UCA’s international news, the “Leaders of the World” program, “is designed for public officials, politicians, legislators, presidents and business executives of public service, government advisers, teachers and university officials.”
UCA will also be signing Memorandum of Understandings with the attending leaders and their countries. The agenda for the conference is posted here.
