P.O.P. Yoga is a one-of-a-kind yoga studio where fitness meets fun.
Lori Bery founded Progress over Perfection Studio in June 2021 after a struggle to find a local yoga studio in the Conway area.
Inspiration struck when a friend moved out of the space where P.O.P. Yoga is today.
“It immediately clicked that it would be an amazing yoga studio, and it was full steam ahead from there,” Bery said.
As a mother, it was important to have a space where kids could take enriching and exciting classes while parents found time for their own wellness and enjoyment.
“My heart in P.O.P. is to give adults and families an easy and enjoyable way to take time to pour into themselves and find time for self-care,” Bery said.
There is plenty to do at P.O.P. Yoga, including classes for slow flow yoga, hot yoga, barre, Pilates, weights, inversion, Taekwondo, tumbling and cheernastics. There are even language classes available such as French and Spanish, as well as music classes like piano. For the little ones, there is activity-based childcare offered and birthday parties you can book. There are also monthly margarita meet-ups, themed events, parents’ night outs, as well as camps and workshops.
The instructors and members of the P.O.P. Yoga community are what make P.O.P. Yoga successful.
“I’ve always heard ‘Your vibe attracts your tribe,’ and I think the most successful part of P.O.P. is the amazing tribe we’ve created. The members and instructors are some of the most inviting, encouraging, uplifting, and up-for-fun group. It’s so amazing to enjoy working toward goals or ‘releasing the heavy’ in classes with all of these awesome members,” Bery said.
“We offer something not offered elsewhere. Community-based classes with activity-based and enriching childcare that doesn’t stop when class is over. It feels like walking into a party where you get to see friends and meet new friends, all while working on health goals in a supportive, progress-based environment,” Bery said.
P.O.P. stands for Progress over Perfection for a reason.
“The most important thing for us is that anyone coming to classes feels supported and encouraged where they are so they have the support to get to where they want to go in their fitness journey,” Bery said.
For students, there is an unlimited $85 a month student pass available. If you are interested in the discount, email [email protected]. Updates for upcoming events and classes can be found at @popyogaconway on Instagram or www.pop-yoga.com.
