UCA senior Donnie Madden, a native of Conway, is the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) president, former president of the Beta Delta chapter of Omega Psi Phi fraternity and a UCA ambassador.
Madden said that being in a fraternity has taught him the value of time management and “to never stop aspiring to excel through all of life’s endeavors, through every trial and tribulation an undergraduate will face before entering [his or her]career.”
After completing his undergraduate degree, Madden plans to pursue a doctorate in physical therapy and eventually go into sports medicine, rehabilitating injured athletes.
“I decided that I wanted to pledge Omega Psi Phi because I wanted to be a part of an organization that dominated in in leadership roles by making an impact on the community,” Madden said.
This leadership practice is important to Madden, who named his father as his role model.
“I have seen my dad work his whole life and he never complained about anything.”
Madden is currently majoring in Pre-Physical Therapy and is expecting to graduate in December of 2014.
