According to YALiberty.org, Young Americans for Liberty is a continuation of Students for Ron Paul, a group created in 2008 in support for Ron Paul for president. In less than eight months, they established more than 500 chapters with branches in every state, with membership estimated to be more than 26,000 students.
Since its founding, YAL’s membership has grown to 126,000 youth nationwide and membership continues to rise. They support fundamental constitutional values and individual freedom.
A portion from their mission statement reads,
“We recognize the God-given natural rights of life, liberty, and property set forth by our Founding Fathers. Our country was created to protect the freedoms of the individual and be directed by We the People.” Their full mission statement can be found at www.yaliberty.org/about/mission.
