The Bear Den here on campus is one of the most school spirited organizations at UCA. Hosting pep-rallies, tailgates, Family Day and various other campus wide events, Bear Den promotes and supports the student body and our teams and organizations. Bear Den is widely popular and always providing opportunities for students to get involved.
The new year and new semester brought a new Bear Den executive board with it. President Kendra Pettit gave some insight on what we can expect from them this semester: “The 2014 executive board is one of the largest we’ve had in quite some time, so we are expecting to do big things,” said Pettit.
They are already working on several events for the semester including a tailgating event Feb. 6 before the basketball game. Pettit also discussed some other activities promoting the basketball season, such as a “Bear Den Kiss Cam” they are planning to set up in the lobby on Valentine’s Day.
For the annual “Blackout” basketball game on Feb. 27, Bear Den will be giving away their beloved free t-shirts.
These are just a couple of the activities planned for the semester and Pettit advises students to “keep a lookout for our Annual Egg Hunt and festivities coming later in the semester.”
So, whether you’re already a member, interested in joining or just looking for a fun time, you should check out the exciting activities Bear Den is planning for the semester.
