UCA sophomore, Eli Gomez, is the owner of Eli Gomez Astrology and shared different aspects of his business and what goes into the process.

“My goal is to essentially bring awareness to how people can use astrology to help them — I’ve only been an astrologer for three years, and studying under a one-on-one mentorship has really helped me,” Gomez said. 

Gomez has an online platform where you can book readings and get a better understanding of the academic side of astrology. 

“Where I go with it is I try to bring the academic study of it to people, I do readings, but I try not to do as many of them as a lot of people,” Gomez said. 

“I was an astrologer before I started the business, I’ve actually only had the business since July, Gomez said. 

“I have only been doing readings on Zoom for people since July, but before that, it was referral only, meaning you had to know me, and we did it in person. 

“I usually go into the things that you wouldn’t post on Google, interests that you may not have told people before, and maybe little hunches that you have had throughout your life that you thought you were crazy about.” 

When people ask Gomez how he knows all of this information, he says to them, “it is just a series of observation coalitions.” 

“What I do is I have a chart, and it will be for somebody, and then someone else may have similar placements and I can say how they are similar in these two ways, ” Gomez said. 

Gomez is majoring in entrepreneurship and says that a goal of his is to reintroduce the academia study of astrology. 

“I say reintroduce because it used to be until the late 17th century when astronomy and astrology split ways,” Gomez said. 

Gomez also mentioned that if the opportunity came to teach astrology classes in the future — if astrology did get reinstated into American colleges — he would do it. 

“It’s part of being a good astrologer,” Gomez said. 

Gomez said that the most challenging aspect of his business is being on a university campus. 

“Being on a university campus is a big challenge, but it is also one of the biggest liberated forces, because it is a great place for me to share, but it is also a great place for me to get a bunch of criticism,” Gomez said. 

Gomez also has an 85% accuracy rating when it comes to readings and predictions. 

“I have no problem with anything I am wrong about because I have a long track record of being right,” Gomez said. 

Although Gomez primarily does his business through Pulaski county, he also uses his website as an international platform. 

“It’s an online business — Most of the people I read for are either college students or are people in the local area. But I do have a lot of readings for people in nine different countries. 

Gomez also has a podcast titled, “In the Stars with Eli Gomez,” where he discusses interesting facts about astrology. Linked with his business, you can also sign up for his Patreon where viewers can receive benefits. On his website, three different readings are available. An astrology consultation for $375.95, an astrology report for $225.95 and a natal chart reading for $225.95.
