“Romance on Bourbon” featured romance, flavor and the spirit of New Orleans at The Max Event Venue on Feb. 13.
The event, hosted by D&C Event Services, offered an evening of fine dining, jewelry giveaway, signature cocktails and live jazz music was the perfect way to celebrate love, friendship and community.
This event captured the heart of New Orleans and transported attendees to Bourbon Street for a night.
“Romance on Bourbon” isn’t just an event; it’s a labor of love for co-owner of D&C Event Services, Charles Frost, and his wife, Danielle Frost.
Their company, which they officially rebranded in 2023, has made a name for itself by curating extraordinary experiences for the local community.
“One of the first ticketed events we ever hosted in Conway was our ‘A Night in Nola’ Dinner Party,” Charles said. “It came about because we love New Orleans — the culture, the food — and we realized Conway, as amazing as it is, could use a few more things to do.”
The success of that initial dinner party inspired the creation of “Romance on Bourbon.” Now in its second year, this highly anticipated event has become a hallmark of D&C Event Services, with each new event drawing enthusiastic crowds eager to enjoy a night of delectable cuisine and vibrant atmosphere.
The event is part of a growing trend of elevated dinner parties that the Frosts have hosted, with “Fire & Smoke” and “harvest” dinner parties adding to the buzz.
“What I love most about hosting this event is pretty simple — I just enjoy seeing couples and friends having a great night out filled with good food and fun. There’s nothing like watching guests light up after that first bite of a dish or proudly showing off one of our signature cocktails. It really fills me with joy and a sense of accomplishment.” said Frost.
It’s inspired by the essence of New Orleans. It featured a mouthwatering four-course menu influenced by the city’s rich culinary history, with dishes such as stuffed chicken with a cajun sauce, peach cobbler with beignets and greens with a vinaigrette dressing all carefully curated by chef MaryAnn.
The live jazz music set the tone for the evening, echoing the soulful rhythms of Bourbon Street and adding to the atmosphere of romance and celebration.
Despite the event’s growing popularity, Charles and Danielle have kept their marketing strategy personal and community-driven. “We mostly spread the word about this event through good old-fashioned word of mouth,” said Frost. “Sure, we did some Facebook ads and put it up on eventbrite, but honestly, what works best for us is when our community shares their past experiences and invites friends to follow us on social media. That way, nobody misses out on the next event.” said Frost.
With a commitment to bringing unique experiences to Conway, D&C Event Services is well on its way to becoming a staple in the local event scene.
“There’s just something about good food and good music, and New Orleans captures that magic perfectly,” said Frost. “It made for a natural theme for our annual Valentine’s event.”
